We are a single boutique agency, composed primarily of brokers, offering personalized buying and selling experiences for our clients. Our story began in 2000, when four real estate brokers with deep local roots and extensive credentials shared a vision for a unique brokerage model. Mark Stahly, Teresa Lightbody, Maureen Oelkers, and Susan Hughes aimed to create a welcoming atmosphere where exceptionally high standards of expertise, service, and integrity were prioritized. Offering a foundation of EXPERIENCE, they attracted the most competent, reputable brokers to cultivate excellence and thrive under one “roof”. From the moment the doors opened, Big Sky Brokers has been the area’s top-producing real estate firm, far outpacing its competitors. In December of 2020, Big Sky Brokers celebrated 20 years in business after having been awarded “Small Business of the Year” by the Helena Chamber of Commerce and voted “Best Real Estate Brokerage” by local residents via Helena Independent Record’s “Best of Helena”. Jan 1, 2021, broker/owner Mark Stahly was joined by three new owners (long-time Big Sky Brokers associates): Erin Oelkers-Mondie, Wayne Woodland, and Freda Wilkinson. With much gratitude for the founding owners’ mentoring, the foursome launched into this exciting chapter as a new ownership team.
