Job Description
Career Training Institute is seeking a part-time Business/Computer Instructor. This position organizes and implements an instructional program, and provides classroom instruction on work skills, financial literacy, Microsoft Office computer applications, and other curriculum designed to meet the needs of area employers. Duties and Responsibilities include: • Identify, select, and modify instructional resources to meet the needs of students with varying backgrounds, learning styles, and special needs. • Prepare course objectives and outline for course of study. • Instruct students through lecture, demonstration, audio visual aides, written and hands-on computer exercises, also providing individualized assistance. • Assess student performance and progress through tests and observation and provide verbal and written feedback to students. • Communicate with case managers to keep them informed of student progress. • Assess and develop changing curricular needs and offer plans for improvement using results from student evaluations. • Maintain record keeping procedures and prepare and maintain records for confidential student information. Job Requirements Education and experience equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree and two years of teaching experience. Proficiency in Microsoft suite products and the ability to problem solve basic computer issues is required. This position is 24-28 hours per week and the starting wage is $23.00 per hour. Very small class sizes and lots of schedule flexibility (ex: could follow school district schedule)
