Job Description
Robert Peccia and Associates (RPA), a 100% employee-owned firm, is seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented Water/Wastewater Engineer to join our Helena, Montana office.
 
The responsibilities of the engineer will be oversight of individual projects to assure quality of the work, oversee project teams, track project budgets and schedules, contract administration, meet with clients to discuss project progress, and always promote a favorable company image. The firm's projects are frequently out-of-town, and out-of-town travel is required.
 
The successful candidate will be responsible for the design of supply, collection, storage, distribution, and treatment of water and/or wastewater for federal, state and/or local agencies. This position requires at least ten years of experience. The candidate is expected to have a thorough understanding of water/wastewater design, construction methods, regulatory requirements, and be able to work independently and as part of a design team.

Required qualifications include:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Montana registered Professional Engineer.
  • Significant experience in project plans and specification development.
  • Experience with the regulatory requirements and funding agencies.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Superior attention to detail and ability to learn quickly.
  • Effective interpersonal skills and a team approach to problem-solving.
  • Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing.
  • Proficiency in the use of computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment to prepare engineering and design documents.
  • Ability to administer projects on an independent basis.
  • Knowledge of current construction practices and specifications.
