Job Description
Robert Peccia and Associates (RPA), a 100% employee-owned firm, is seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented Highway Engineer/Designer to join our Helena, Montana office. We are seeking candidates for the following positions:
  • Entry Level
  • Project Engineer
We will count on you to be responsible for the design of highway, street, and road projects for federal, state and local agencies as well as project management. The entry level position requires zero to three years of experience in transportation design. The project engineer position requires three to ten years of experience in transportation design. Candidates are expected to have a good understanding of street and highway design and able to work independently and as part of a design team.

Required qualifications include:

  • Entry Level: Attained Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Project Engineer: Attained Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field, plus Professional Engineer licensure.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Superior attention to detail and ability to learn quickly.
  • Self-motivated.
  • Ability to work as part of a team to solve problems.
  • Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing.
  • Background in Microstation, Geopak and MS Office applications (note that Intern candidates may be trained in these software packages as needed).
