Description: Carroll College, a private, Catholic liberal arts college located in Helena, Montana seeks an Event Planning Assistant. This position will assist the Conferences & Events Manager in all aspects with the coordination of events, conferences, and meetings. Duties include assisting with planning, organizing and setting up events on campus. Responsible for providing onsite event assistance, coordinating catering, and maintaining the campus events and conferencing website and marketing materials. This position will be responsible for coordinating with the facility lead custodians when there is a conference in their building. Works and trains with Conferences & Events Manager to perform all duties in their absence. Qualifications: The successful candidate will have a High School Diploma or GED plus 1 year experience in public service, retail, and/or event set-ups. Ideal applicants would have some sales and event experience, or guest service experience, and a passion for high-end hospitality. The ideal candidate will be upbeat with a positive and flexible attitude; work well in a fast-paced environment and exhibit a calm confidence and ability to prioritize key tasks. Must have the ability to learn and troubleshoot conference room technology including such things as sound systems, network connections, laptops, etc. The candidate will need to work a flexible schedule including some weekends and holidays.
