Description: Carroll College, a Catholic liberal arts college located in Helena, Montana is seeking a Director of Grants and Sponsored Programs to join our Institutional Advancement staff. This Director works closely with the Office of Institutional Advancement as well Academics and the Business Office. This position researches, advises, guides, and supports campus efforts to secure external grant funding. In addition to supporting faculty and staff in their grant proposals, this position also oversees the identification of funding opportunities for critical campus initiatives and drafts full proposals to advance the college’s mission. This position is also responsible for managing and documenting the sponsored program function of the college, practicing good stewardship of funds secured from external sources, coordinating adherence to institutional policies related to grants and grants management, maintaining communication with internal and external constituencies who participate in grants, and assisting faculty and members of the Office of Institutional Advancement with descriptions of projects. Qualifications: The successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or related field and 2 years’ experience in writing grants and cultivating donations, preferably in higher education. Experience in all aspects of grant research, submission and management of funding from private foundations, corporate foundations, and federal agencies is required. Must have the ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing and proven ability to manage a demanding workload using good organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy is needed.
