Event Description:
The final concert of the 115th season performed by the State Capital Band will be held on Thursday, August 3rd at 8:00 pm in the Memorial Park band shell under the direction of Robert Loveridge. This band is one of the longest continually performing bands in the country and features 50-60 of the finest local musicians. Mr. Loveridge will lead the band pieces that were voted as favorites from the previous five concerts and will include marches, classical wind ensemble pieces, Broadway and movie themes, and ballads. Picnics, blankets, lawn chairs, and children in the playground will help make the concerts an enjoyable way to spend a summer evening with family and friends. The band wishes to express their thanks for the support from the community they’ve received this summer.
