BEYOND WORDS, the body as narrator

Cohesion Dance Project rides, rises, and rolls through the terrain of narrative and dance in Beyond Words, a community dance production conceived by nationally recognized choreographer and 2022 Artist-in-Residence, Jennifer Glaws. During a three-month residency at Cohesion, Ms. Glaws and a unique cast of community and professional dancers collaboratively created this series of new works bringing myths, stories, family traditions, and urban legends to life through movement. The performance features dancers of all ages and abilities, along with video projection from school outreach programming where participants explored storytelling about history and heritage, using their own stories to generate movement conversations.
